Question: Is the paying of a bribe permissible?
Response:
Paying a bribe is permissible in order to rid yourself of a harm which has oppressively befallen you, or to obtain your right which you are unable to do so without the (payment of a) bribe, with the condition that you can be certain that no greater harm occurs as a result (of you paying a bribe) such as your imprisonment or punishment.
