Duties towards Muslim minorities

Question: What are the most important duties of Islaamic establishments and governments towards Muslim minorities living in non-Islaamic countries?

Response: The most important duties for the Muslims towards those minorities is to help them establish Islaam in themselves and help them in their work of inviting to Islaam. They must also send to them whoever can assist them in achieving this and ask them to send people to Islaamic countries to learn knowledge. There should be, therefore, an exchange of people between those Muslim minorities and the Muslim societies in order to activate them and help them in all their affairs. It is also for the Muslim minorities to make their situation known to the rest of the Muslims in order that they are made fully aware of them. it is often the case that many Muslims are completely unaware of the Muslim minorities and it is therefore imperative that their situation be brought to light and clarified.

All Praise is due to Allaah and may Allaah send His Most Perfect Peace and Blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his Companions.
