Following the congregational prayer of the masjid whilst inside the home

Question: What is the ruling regarding a woman following the imaam [of the masjid in prayer] whilst she [herself] is in her home?

Response: That which is correct is that this is permissible so long as she is able to follow [the imaam] either by hearing the takbeer of the imaam or that of someone behind him, or that she can actually see them [praying]. Some of the scholars stipulate that she must be able to see them [praying] even if it is for some part of the prayer, in addition that there must not be a path/road between her home and the masjid - however, this is a weak opinion as there is no evidence to support it!
