Concerning
the Imaam, the Shaykh - 'Abdul-'Azeez
ibn Baaz (rahima-hullaah),
Sa’d ad-Daawood narrates:
“The
Shaykh was very careful in how he spent his time;
If
he was to travel by car to deliver a lecture or to (simply)
attend a gathering, then a number of books would be read to
him, (so much so that) I don’t know how many books have
been read to him whereby he would make beneficial notes in
them. And when he was asked about (all) this, he (simply)
said:
“This
is just to pass the time”.”
