Mufti condemns attack on U.S. consulate
The Kingdom’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh
Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, condemned and denounced
the terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Jeddah on Monday
6th December
2004.
In
a statement published in the Jeddah-based Al-Madinah newspapers
today, Al
Al-Sheikh said that attacking the U.S.
consulate, throwing explosives, killing and wounding innocent
people, and undermining stability and security utterly
contradict the teachings of Islam.
He
said that all citizens and residents
in the Kingdom are entitled to peace and security under
the law, and no religious scholar could condone such
criminal, terrorist attacks on innocent people.
