Official Decision and Announcement of the High Judiciary Council of Saudi Arabia...

Just a short time ago, Fatwa-Online was informed of the official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council (HJC) of Saudi Arabia regarding the beginning of the new Hijrah year - 1431.

1 Muharram 1431 will be tomorrow, Friday 18 December 2009, and 10 Muharram ('Aashooraa) 1431 will fall on Sunday December 27 2009.

09 Muharram 1431 = Saturday 26 December 2009
10 Muharram (day of 'Aashooraa) 1431 = Sunday 27 December 2009
11 Muharram 1431 = Monday 28 December 2009
