On the authority of Yahyaa ibn Abee Bukayr, who said:
((It
was said to Sufyaan ath-Thowree:
"Until
when will you (continue to) seek (knowledge of) hadeeth?"
He said: "And what better good is there than the good
of hadeeth, such that I may pursue it? Indeed, (knowledge
of) hadeeth is the best of (all) the knowledge of this world"))
