‘Alaa ibn Khushrum said:

have never seen Wakee’ with a book in his hands, rather,
he memorised. So I asked him about the remedy for memorising
and he said:
“If
I taught you the remedy would you use it?” I said: “Yes,
wAllaahi!” He said: “Abandon sinning (since) I
have never experienced anything like it for memorising”))
