Concerning
the Muhaddith, the Shaykh - Hammaad
ibn Muhammad al-Ansaaree (rahima-hullaah),
it has been narrated by his son 'Abdul-Awwal:
"My
father said:
"I
am a historian. I have not visited a country/city in this
world except that I have written its history, and Allaah knows
best"."
