Concerning the Muhaddith, the Shaykh - Hammaad
ibn Muhammad al-Ansaaree (rahima-hullaah),
it has been narrated by his son 'Abdul-Awwal that the Shaykh
said:
"The
ruling of a hadeeth that it is weak should not be passed by
anyone except an imaam who has spent his life studying the
science of hadeeth; And the people today do not understand
this issue, so they declare a hadeeth weak by simply looking
at one chain of narration, and this is wrong. And Allaah knows
best."
